Nadège disappearance: her body discovered along a railway track

After hope, pain. Two days after her disappearance was reported and extensive search efforts were deployed to locate her, the body of Nadège Klopcic, a resident of Seyne, was discovered by the gendarmes near the railway tracks in Carnoules on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. “The discovery of the lifeless body took place this Tuesday, around 5 PM, near the railway tracks, in Carnoules, between Cuers and Le Luc,” reported our colleagues from Ici Provence, citing the Draguignan public prosecutor’s office as the source.

Missing since Sunday

Having been sought since Sunday evening, significant resources were deployed to find the woman in her forties. The authorities utilized a drone and a tracking dog on Monday. On Tuesday morning, Nadège’s relatives gathered at the SNCF station in Pignans to conduct a search. They scoured the areas around the Carnoules station extensively, but to no avail.

The accident theory favored

According to Ici Provence: “Her body was found with the assistance of aerial means from the gendarmes. A drone flew over the area since the search began. The favored theory is that of an accident, but there is nothing to indicate that the Seynoise was hit by a train.

“The forensic doctor who visited the scene concluded that the cause was accidental,” clarified deputy prosecutor Guy Bouchet, contacted by Var-Matin. “While the body was discovered near the railway tracks, no polytrauma was noted, so she was not struck by a train.” Furthermore, “the body shows no signs of violence.” An investigation is now underway to “determine the causes of death.” An autopsy will take place in the coming days to provide answers about the circumstances of the Var resident’s death.

The town hall of Pignans, neighboring the site of the tragedy, reacted on Facebook, stating that the village was in a state of “great sadness.”
